Suzzie Vango

Suzzie's successful career has taken her all over the UK and internationally, working with professional and amateur organisations, singers and choirs of all ages. In addition to her varied portfolio career, Suzzie is an Associate Artist at the University of Warwick and co-author of the award winning warm up book, how to make your choir sound awesome. Find out more about Suzzie's work:

International women's vocal ensemble

Suzzie co-founded the international vocal ensemble Papagena, with Sarah Tenant-Flowers in 2015. The group has toured the UK extensively, performed in Ireland and the Netherlands, featured live on BBC Radio 3 In Tune, BBC Radio 4 Woman's Hour and as Scala Radio Featured Artist. Papagena has released three recordings on the SOMM Recordings label, Tomorrow is TodayHush! and The Darkest Midnight reaching #1 in the Amazon download charts and #6 in the UK Classical charts.

Vocal Coach

Suzzie is an established singing teacher and a qualified vocal health first aider. As a former Head of Singing at Bromsgrove School, and vocal coach to the CBSO Youth Chorus, Suzzie is currently a Singing Teacher at the University of Birmingham and teaches privately from her own home. She also works as a freelance vocal coach for choirs across the UK and abroad to countries including Thailand, China, France, Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. She has run webinars for ABCD and Sing for Pleasure and Sing Ireland, and has created online content for groups including: Music of Life, Ex Cathedra's Singing Playgrounds, SingMaker & ChoirMaker, Stagecoach, Kidderminster Choral Society and City of Birmingham Choir.
